Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Location: Bristol
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Resolve Recruitment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and child-focused Registered Manager to lead a three-bedded EBD children’s home in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation with a progressive and supportive ethos, where you will play a key role in shaping the home, building your own staff team, and leading the service through registration.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, regulatory compliance, and positive outcomes for children and young people.
You will:
• Lead the setup and registration of the home
• Be actively involved in recruiting your own staff team (with onboarding support provided)
• Provide strong leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
• Build effective relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
• Manage budgets and resources effectively
Support & Development
• Full support from experienced Registered Managers and senior leadership
• Guidance throughout the Ofsted registration process
• Enrolment onto the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (if not already held)

Requirements
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve within 2 years)
• Experience in a management or supervisory role within a children’s residential setting
• Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Full UK Driving Licence
Additional Information
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care (required)
• Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK
• Successful applicants will be subject to enhanced safeguarding and DBS checks
