7.5T HGV Driver – Scrap Tyre Collections

Location: Portbury
Salary: £16.21 per hour
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Start Times: Between 4:00am and 6:00am

The Role

Resolve Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5T HGV Driver to join our client in Portbury.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting scrap tyres from various locations, completing approximately 6–8 collections per day.

This is a physically demanding and hands-on role, so applicants must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and carrying out manual handling duties.

Key Responsibilities
– Driving a 7.5T HGV vehicle safely and responsibly
– Completing approximately 6–8 collections per day
– Collecting and handling scrap tyres
– Carrying out manual handling duties
– Completing vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is maintained to a high standard
– Following all relevant health and safety procedures
– Providing a professional service to customers and collection sites
– Working safely in all weather conditions

Requirements
– Minimum 6 months’ HGV driving experience
– Valid licence to drive a 7.5T vehicle
– Maximum 6 penalty points
– Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling
– Comfortable working outdoors and in a dirty, hands-on environment
– Reliable, punctual and professional
– Good understanding of road safety and working practices

Pay & Benefits
– £16.21 per hour
– 45 hours per week
– Monday to Friday
– Overtime paid at time and a third
– Saturday work paid at time and a half
– 23 days’ holiday
– Regular, ongoing work
– Early starts between 4:00am and 6:00am
