HGV Class 1 Drivers – Weekends Only (Mornings & Nights)

Location: Haydock (SSO Start Point)

Shift Pattern: Saturday & Sunday only

Paid training required (usually on Fridays)

Job Type: Ongoing weekend work | High-volume opportunity

Pay:

• £225-£235 per shift
• £252.18-£263.39 per shift (including holiday pay)
• Training Fridays paid at £150-£168.21 (including holiday pay)
• Shift-based pay – no additional hourly overtime

The Opportunity

Resolve Recruitment Services are urgently seeking Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for weekend-only roles based out of Haydock. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established national retailer’s logistics network, supporting store deliveries across the North West.

We have the capacity to place up to 16 drivers across morning and night shifts – making this ideal for drivers looking to supplement their income or secure regular weekend work.

The Role

• Delivering caged goods to retail stores
• Start from Haydock SSO, travel empty to Warrington, collect load, then complete 1–2 drops
• Occasional reloading for second trip during shift
• Use of tail lifts and cage deliveries required
• Shift-based pay structure – fixed rate per shift
• Shifts typically run 10–12 hours
• High standards of health & safety must be followed at all times

Driver Requirements

– Minimum 18 months’ Class 1 experience
– OR at least 12 months Class 1 experience with prior Class 2 background
– Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
– CPC & Digital Tacho card
– Willing to operate tail lifts and work with caged goods
– Please do not apply if you have less than 12 months of Class 1 experience
