We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Class 2 Relief Driver to join our client’s operation in Yate, Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver looking for a permanent Monday-to-Friday position with excellent work-life balance.

The role is particularly well suited to drivers who have recently gained their Class 2 licence and are looking to build further experience.

The Role:
As a Class 2 Relief Driver, you will provide flexible support across the operation, helping to cover driver shortages and last-minute requirements.

Your duties may include:
– Covering driver sickness and annual leave
– Completing last-minute or additional delivery runs
– Supporting the final driver out on the route when required
– Driving Class 2 vehicles when cover is needed
– Assisting with general operational requirements when driving is not required

The contract is based on 49 hours per week, and you will be paid for the full 49 contracted hours. In practice, drivers will usually finish around 14:00–15:00, rather than working a full 49-hour week.

Requirements
– Valid Class 2 (C) licence
– Valid Driver CPC
– Valid Digital Tachograph Card
– Minimum 6 months to 1 year of Class 2 driving experience
– Good driving record
– Reliable and flexible approach
– Good communication skills
– Willingness to cover different requirements across the operation
